• Leading the EMEA sales department from Boart Longyear, with 7000 employees a large capital equipment supplier to global mining, minerals, exploration and construction industries
• Managing the sales team with 17 direct reports and 243 distributors in Europe, Middle East and Africa
• P&L responsible. Sales (PBIT) in the period: € 90 Million
• Traveling 60% of the time to build and maintain long term relationships with the critical accounts, being all large mining and exploration companies in the EMEA-region
• Negotiate and close major sales- and long term service-agreements

Nov 2004 – Sept 2008: Account Manager Asia-Pacific Weir Minerals, Venlo, Netherlands

• Responsible for investments, acquisition, sales and service in the largest growth market from Weir Minerals, selling large piston-diaphragm pumps, pipelines, valves, screening systems and spare parts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers in the region, mainly gold, copper, alumina, coalmines and power plants, requiring frequent traveling (80%)
• Key-accounts were companies like Freeport, BHP, Olympic Dam, Rio Tinto, Rio Tuba, CHALCO (Chinese Aluminum Cooperation) and multiple large power plants
• Managing 15 service and sales people directly in Australia, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia and China with regional finance and accounting responsibilities

• An increase in spare parts sales from Euro 2 Million in 2004 to Euro 14 Million in 2007 based on changes in local representation and customer satisfaction improvement strategies
