Belgian multinational (GE Capital, ABN Amro, BNP Parisbas) specialised in construction and management of their own fiber optcical network in the Benelux, city and long distance networks. 60 Milions USD invested, 1.250 Km of dark fiber network in Europe, 180 persons in Europe.

Company offers also engineering services and telecom assets management. Offices in The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Spain.

• Spanish division set-up with its resources and local strategies, team hiring
• Responsibilities include overall managing of the subsidiary, engaged in all aspects of the business from client acquisition, project management, HR & systems consulting, as well as day to day management and marketing of the firm itself.
• European production resources simplification and consolidation between the French, Belgian and Spanish subsidiaries
• As member of the European management team I was in the strategic international planning of Fibercorp: prospecting of new markets, strategic partnership, devising of new business line and sale channels, use of new technology, etc ..
• Spent some months in the french subsidiary as interim manager


Achievements:

• Market and technical study report for the deployment of an optical fibre Metropolitan Area Network in Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and Sevilla for a future investment from GE Capital, ABN Amro, BNP Parisbas
• Invoiced 450.000 Euros

DutchTone is the France Telecom/Orange GSM divison in Holland.
I have been leading a technical team for the implementation of the fixed network in the approx. 40% of the dutch territory.
• Responsible for a team of 4 persons and equipment supply of approx. 1 Mil Euros

Altran is one of the biggest european consulting firms in technology. GTS Carrier Services is an american company (now KPN Quest) B2B carrier over fiber.
• Working for Altran as a consultant I helped GTS investigating and solving problems due to both ordinary and structural faults in their 9000 km fiber optic European wide network
• Working in a team of 5 persons responsible for Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Chech Republic, Denmark and Hungary
• In this mission I learned how to work in a multinational, multicultural and multilengual enviroments
• Reporting to the level 3 below the CEO
• Dealing directly with customers for technical issues. Being GTS the pioneer and the largest in fiber lease in Europe, customers were the major telecommunications companies in the world

• I developed the A.T.M. software that has been applied to other Kühne & Nagel european sites for the real time track and trace deliveries of Apple Computer merchandise in Europe
