A university and Academic Hospital are planning to replace their various systems for access control, time and attendance, micro payments etc. by one integrated system. We produce a strategy document describing all aspects of possible systems and possible developments in the chipcard area for the coming 5 years. A first financial budget is produced for the project.

The largest Amsterdam College replaces her multifunctional chip card system. This project is not only a replacement of hard and software but also involves the reorganization of the chip card management group due to the changed management methods of the new system.
This is a BPR, development of new processes and procedures based on the methods of the new system, employee selection, communication with HR, unions and personnel representatives.

- Conflict managment

A card management system sypplier and an Amsterdam College are fighting over the delivery of software. The conflict is based on the absence of agreed and complete functional specifications. We made an inventory of subjects on which parties were in agreement. Based on the inventory and the school’s requirements we produced a new Functional Specification on which parties agreed. The FS is projectwise build, tested and implemented.

- Crisis management at bankruptcy

Interim (crisis) management for a group of 12 Ltd’s, a.o. an architect, insurance broker, real estate broker and an environmental analysis company.
The majority of the companies were losing money. Debts were far bigger than the assets, order intake and prospects for the most important Ltd’s were not good.
Profitable activities were identified and via assets transactions sold to new founded companies (outside the group). The remainder of the group was led to bankruptcy.

Program management for the development of a system to prevent youngsters from buying cigarettes from vending machines. Negotiations with the Dutch banks to persuade them to facilitate this system on their bank card, negotiations with the Post Office to use them as a Trusted Third Party, negotiations with vending machine and card reader manufacturers, to design-in the system in their products.

-Full responsibility for a company with a turnover of 4.5 mln. Euro and 40 employees. Daughter of Batenburg Beheer n.v.. Member of the group advisory council.
Main task was the turn around from a product driven company, leaded by the founder to a customer driven company with a strong management team.

June 1999:
Takeover of KPN daughter by current employer; Main task: generation of synergy between the two companies, writing of a strategic plan for these activities.
