June 09 - Now: Program management of LEAN Procurement in Wavin to reduce waiste in supply chains of key suppliers. Activities include training and coaching of employees, Operations Opportunity Assessments to obtain improvement potential in Euro, setup targets and coach improvement teams to remove the added cost from current practices. Communicate to all stakeholders. Achievements add up to 15% of cash out in the first year. Full potential is more than 50%.

January 07 – June 09: (interim)Director of Operations and Services at Ego Lifestyle (Startup Luxury Notebook Manufacturer, 15 employees)
Set up a management structure and culture to accomodate business needs of Ego Lifestyle. Started and managed manufacturing operations, managed key supplier relations for luxury notebooks, implemented product improvements. Implemented Internal Sales and Marketing support for Sales. Managed the “red carpet” service and support for the major distribution partners worldwide.

June 05 – Now: Owner of Consultancy,
Interim management, coaching and consultancy focused on complex change programs, program management and operations management.

June 04 – December 06: Manager engineering/ Senior Industrial Engineer at Wavin North Western Europe (5 locations, 1200 employees)
Implemented & managed lean programs in manufacturing and logistics locations. Using manufacturing excellence tools like Flow, Total Productive Maintenance, Quick Change (SMED), Kanban and Policy Deployment. Trained and coached management, team members and project leaders in achieving project objectives. Focused these programs on measurable reduction of losses.

Examples of achieved results: increased service levels from 53% to 96%, reduced manufacturing throughput time from 2 weeks to 2 days, lowered stock levels by 40% and increased labour productivity by 25% (without mechanisation).
Program management of operations capex programs with budgets of 1-4 million euro. Examples: redesign of production layout based on LEAN principles, implementation of new mixing department.

March 00 – May 04: Partner-Consultant in Musch Consulting
Acquired from my own network and implemented change programs in (multi)national organisations, ranging from 100 to 500 employees, focused on product development, production or sales in Food, Electronics and Energy, examples of implemented programs:
- Project organisation in hi-tech manufacturing
- Continuous improvement in soft drink production
- Technology management for an industrial supplier of glass products
Demonstrated results with our clients are: higher customer service levels, better business results, higher employee motivation and lower cost

October 96 – February 00: Group Leader Industrial Engineering in Philips Display Components.
Member of the management team of a 400+ employee development organisation, servicing 10 factories and 15.000+ employees worldwide.
Lead a group of 8 Industrial Engineers in driving the improvement program focused on manufacturing excellence, more concrete on cost reduction, throughput time reduction, empowerment, customer satisfaction and project management.

June 94 – September 96: Market group manager Technology in Euroforum
Member of the management team of a 100+ employee Dutch B2B information provider. Leading a group of 12 conference producers and assistants. Achieved a revenue of 5 Million Euros through development and marketing of technical trainings, seminars and conferences

June 91 – May 94: Business Analyst in SynOptics Communications Europe
Set up and maintained the infrastructure (facilities, legal, financial and business reporting) by managing suppliers and experts for SynOptics operations in the Netherlands, Sweden, France, UK and Germany

February 88 – May 91: Project Manager in DAF Trucks
Set up and managed product development project teams in Leyland, Birmingham and Eindhoven that engineered and tested new components for trucks and made them feasible for production. New van project management in Birmingham for 6 months in 1990
