Reorganizing restructuring and revitalizing the Association

Creating and Chairing Amusement Gaming Industry Forum, an informal federation representing 14 trade associations with interests in gambling / gaming / betting, to seek and co-ordinate industry responses to the Gambling Review Body

Co-ordinating lobbying of UK Government on impact of Gambling Review Body Recommendations on the Industry Sector: 12 of the 16 recommendations BACTA objected to were subsequently abandoned or modified

Increasing membership by 20%

Substantially increasing income and profitability of BACTA after undertaking Financial Review and outsourcing certain functions

The Construction Plant Hire Association is the Trade Association that represents the Construction Plant Hire Industry. Its members account for between 70 and 80% of the £2bn annual turnover in plant hire in the Construction Industry Sector.

Reorganizing and revitalizing the Association

Raising the profile of the Association within the Construction industry and Public Sector

Establishing and growing an independent Rail Plant Association [RPA] to deal with the specific legislative, regulatory, technical and Health & Safety issues relating to working with specialized equipment within the Rail infrastructure

Lobbying UK and European Government on effect of implementation of Directives and securing concessions for the Industry in relation to regulations and qualifications requirements for experienced workforce operating lifting equipment

Developing and leading the CPA/CITB Partnership on Training within the Plant Sector

Developing and leading the Plant Theft Action Group representation with Home Office

Case United Kingdom Limited is a subsidiary of Case Corporation, Racine, Wisconsin, USA, which is one of the world’s largest agricultural and construction equipment manufacturers with a 1996 world wide turnover of $6.0bn with sales and representation in over 150 countries. UK turnover $180m.

Establishing and managing a Corporate Legal Department responsible for all corporate legal issues arising within the UK and Ireland

Managing closure and disposal of three large manufacturing plants in the UK on a cost effective and timely basis

Developing Disaster Recovery Programme for UK and European operations

Advising sales and marketing on European dealer and distribution issues, preparing reviews of legal issues in each country working closely with the European Commission

Advising and participating with business groups in connection with business development by way of licensing joint ventures in the former Soviet Union and the Middle East
