2000 – 2001 Director of Business Operations Europe, Global Metro Networks Inc.
Global Metro Networks was established in January 2000 with the objective to develop, implement and exploit dark fiber networks in tier one cities in Europe and the USA. Undersigned is one of the co-founders of the company and member of the corporate management team.

Tasks
Start-up of the European operation and company program. Main focus points are: to set up the organization; to initiate, deliver and implement business cases and project plans; to establish high level partnerships en contracts; to set up processes and support marketing & sales.

Main achievements
• Completed networks in Berlin and Vienna. Networks in Paris, Milan, Munich and Amsterdam under construction. Budget and progress were according to plan.
• Established local subsidiaries, managing directors and teams, in total 35 people.
• Closed approx.15 turnkey contracts and established several high-level partnerships.
• Delivered the project management process, network design concepts, budgets en cost control, operational standards, network management standards en service level agreements (SLA’s).

1998 – 2000 Manager Project Management, Enertel/WorldPort
Enertel/WorldPort delivered a broad portfolio of telecommunication services to companies and private customers.

• Participated in the definition of the new corporate strategy and reorganized the project management department in accordance with the objectives of the company.
