of an independent communication agency with the following mission statement: to help our clients to all borders that stand between them and truly effective, independent and creative communications. We not only delivers ideas, concepts, plans but wants to give true support in executing these plans, be it as a consultant, as a full service agency or as an interim manager, located at your premises for as long as required.

Over the years, border Communications have run numerous projects for a large number of clients, such as:

Doe Een Wens Stichting (Dutch chapter of the Make a Wish Foundation, Woerden:
Development of a new house style and consequently a complete above and below the line campaign targeted at doubling the number of donations. This campaign has since been adapted / translations and is now used in various other countries such as Australia. New materials are currently under development. We are also involved in 6 TV shows, aired at this moment.

DSM NV, Heerlen:
Mostly internal communications projects around change processes such as new employee review systems, harmonization of all computer hard- & software and process management in the DSM Research organization.

Royal Philips Electronics, Amsterdam:
Philips has been a client since its start in 1989.
For Consumer Electronics, various very successful music sponsorships, on a national (North Sea Jazz festival) and international (Dire Straits, Tears for Fears, U2, WetWetWet); plus a number of product and technology introductions supported by both above and below the line material.
For Semiconductors, mostly events-type projects: in 2002 we were involved in the Semiconductors presence at the Bluetooth conference in Amsterdam, from stand design to crew, invitations. We acted as stand manager during the conference.
For Corporate, Global Brand Management, we have run a number of internal communications projects around major sporting events since 1994. Events include the World Championships Football in1994 (USA), 1998(France) en 2002 (Korea/Japan) and 2006 (Germany) as well as the European Championships of 1996 (England) and 2000 (Netherlands / Belgium). For the latter project we developed all outdoor communication materials, we were responsible for the complete ticketing procedure as well as all communications surrounding this subject to the countries and the organization committee.

Starting early 2001, we have been involved in the communication concerning the 2006 World Championships Football in Germany. The sponsorship business plan for this project was co-written by us. Part of this plan was a base- ROI calculation that is now used throughout Philips. As with previous projects, we have been involved in a large number of smaller communication projects around this event, as well as all communication with FIFA Marketing & TV AG concerning sponsorship rights and duties. We have also been in charge of the entire employee involvement programme run by the company in respect of this sponsorship.

QUALCOMM Wireless Business Solutions bv, Waalre:
Trade marketing projects: concept, design and production of a newsletter aimed at clients, partner service providers and business partners.

Vodafone / Libertel NV, Maastricht:
Trade marketing projects:
 concept, design and production of a dealer newsletter from 1996 to 1998
 (communicative) support of the Libertel KnowHow College, a ‘university’ for dealers and their staff. Creative development and production of invitations as well as course materials such as binders, and certificates, incl. total course administration. .

4U Group B.V., Amersfoort:
Developing an overall (marketing) communications plan for the 4U Group B.V. (4U Training, 4U Flexpartners, 4U ABC & College 4U); execution of the marketing communications part was done by us. Involved in the concept and executing of a sponsorship exploitation program for the Dutch Championship tandem (with visually handicapped people) A third project concerned the opening of their new head office in Amersfoort; we managed the total project.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, managing 4 direct employees, international advertising agencies (Euro / RSCG, Paris & London, KLP / RSCG, London) and suppliers such as Philips Purchasing / Grafisch Advies & Inkoopbureau. Co-responsible for the first European CE campaign (Philips invents for you).
