November 2002 – March 2003
Vodafone Germany, Stuttgart Office.
Managing a three month project for the Operations Department. Goal was to align 200 antenna-sites to increase their network performance. The project included hiring technicians, measurement equipment, planning and documentation.

March 2001 – April 2002
Landis ICT Group, Division Network Services (Former Public Networks), Zaltbommel, The Netherlands.
Manager Business Operations / Director Projects.

In this position I am responsible for all operations in The Netherlands. This includes (European) Project-management, Procurement, overall resource planning, Competence management, calculation, Bid-management and Facility Services.
Business mainly focussed on building GSM sites for all the Dutch operators and the building of network sites for the fixed network operators.
Also involved in the start up and responsible for several roll out projects for large manufacturers and operators in the EMEA region.
As member of the Management Team I report to the general Manager of the Division Network Services. Because of the changing organisation I am responsible for the daily management of The Netherlands where the General Manager was focussing on the country organisations in Germany, Sweden, Belgium, the UK and Norway.
Managing vendors and partners on operational and performance issues. Cost reduction and focussing on new business made us change our policy and Landis went on looking for possible partners to outsource some of our activities. Looking for these partners and monitoring them was a main task.

Other task is acting as programmanager for our key accounts. The role of the program manager is being the ‘one in between’ the commercial and operational department. Leading bid management teams for those key accounts and act as SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) for the accounts.
Goal was to improve the relationship between Landis and these accounts. This directly resulted in better performance of our own organisation and a higher customer-satisfaction rate.

As Project Director responsible for several major network build projects for InterXion in Germany, Belgium and France.
Responsible for the building of a Telehouse site in Haarlem, The Netherlands.

Reorganising the structure of the Division was one of the main tasks during Q-4 2001. Because of the changing market, Landis had to change the way of doing business. Telco’s where not investing anymore in their networks and because of that, the biggest part of the business – installation of networks and sites – fell away. One of my tasks was restructuring the Business Units and staff departments of the division to enable Landis to participate to this change of the market.
In this process I managed a dedicated project-team that was set up to develop new business.

As Implementation Manager I’m responsible for the successful implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite within the Division.

Departments under my supervision are: Project Management, IT, Planning, Procurement, Office management.
Direct reports 16, indirect 280.

This maintenance group was responsible for the provisioning of all new build network Nodes and ADSL sites in Germany. They controlled the contractor who was responsible for the building of the network.
Because Germany was the first other country where the roll out took place, I was responsible for the development of all operational processes between the new country organisation and the European head quarter in Amsterdam. This was focussed on the relationship with the NOC in Amsterdam.

Supported the Sales department on technical issues with (possible) customers (ISP’s). This support included technical advise to the ISP regarding the connection to our network and helping the ISP with their new provisioning process towards their end-users.
