Global Trust Authority (GTA) Belgium 2001
· Development of a marketing plan to launch GTA's services onto the European market. GTA is one of the leading trust infrastructure providers in Europe and will go live in July 2001.

Clareon Corporation USA 2000-2001
· Founder and Director of business development primarily in the US and most recently Europe for the first business to business payments service built specifically for the Internet.
· Developed strategic relationships with E-Credit, webMethods, Digital Signature Trust and M86.

BankBoston USA 1999
· Responsible to Vice Chairman and Director of Strategic Planning
· Developed a business strategy, systems architecture, specification and business plan for a completely new business payments service building on the e-check project.
· First major new development since the introduction of the ACH twenty years ago. It uses digital signatures for security, Internet for communications and a range of other advanced technologies.
· Filed US patents for Internet B2B payments as part of BankBoston team in July 1999

Intactix International UK 1998- 1999
· Responsible to CEO. Worked with CFO to develop and implement operational management systems to improve management control and profitability in preparation for a sale of the company.

Infinicom AB Sweden 1998
· Responsible to CEO and Board for development of go to market strategy for an early Internet based retailer
· Developed value scenarios for their core business.

Pricer AB Sweden 1996-1998
· Implemented 'Value Program' for new technology Electronic Shelf Labelling system for retailers. This project involved in depth technology understanding
· Developed and implemented a methodology for measuring customer value which was used for ROI measurement in retail stores.

British Telecom and Digital Equipment Corporation UK 1995-96
· Developed the business requirements and specification for 'Office Anywhere' with BT and DEC. Implemented and managed the first ASP (Application Service Provider) to provide office services for teleworkers. This used the BT ISDN service.
· Developed proof of concept wireless internet for DEC which demonstrated web access and email using GSM
· Developed prototype web site for DEC product marketing with ISDN access

DIGITAL EQUIPMENT CORPORATION
Director - European Industry Marketing Operations. April 1994 - April 1995
Staff position, reporting to Marketing Director Europe.
Creation of the Computer systems division demanded the re-engineering of Industry marketing into two new business units, one direct and the other indirect.
As part of re-engineering reduced marketing headcount by 50%.
Prototyped electronic channel to support new marketing structure.

Managing Director - Finance Business Unit July 93 - March 1994
Responsible for the Banking business in Spain, Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Czech republic, Russia, Poland and Africa.
Reported to Vice President FPPS Europe.
Revenue responsibility $237m from products and services in Fiscal year 93/94.
Full profit and loss responsibility, Sales managers in 8 countries.
Signed off all major systems integration projects, and personally drove large new name bids with application partners.
Corporate re-organisation eliminated the customer business units and the geographic unit.

Managing Director - Media Enterprise. April 1992 - July 1993
Appointed as first Managing Director of Media Enterprise in Europe.
Markets included the publishing, broadcast, newspapers, cable and lottery industries.
Reported to a Vice President who was also Chairman of Digital UK.
Achieved the revenue goal of $95m in Fiscal year 92/93.
Managed sales and support teams in major European countries (50 staff ).
Established European systems integration group with skills in publishing and video on demand (25 staff).

General Manager - Image Business Unit. November 1991 - April 1992
Digital purchased the Information Systems Division from Philips in November 1991.
Managed the integration of the Philips imaging business into Digital. 200 customer sites, $20m FY 93 revenue plan. Managed marketing and development groups in UK, Holland and Germany (80 staff). Promoted to become first Managing Director of the Media business unit.

Marketing Manager IT - Service Industries UK July 1988 - November 1991
Responsible to Director, European service industry marketing.
Managed eight marketing specialists to develop product positioning.
Developed strategic marketing plan for Service industries.
Installed PC LAN to improve internal productivity.
Promoted to General Manager for the Image Systems Business.

Group Manager - Financial Industry Group USA January 1987 - June 1988
Reported to Vice President Corporate Systems Group.
Recruited 100 staff.
Managed annual budget of $15m.
Developed application portfolios and platforms for the retail banking, wholesale banking, trading and insurance market segments. Successfully exhibited solutions and partners at DECworld 87 in Boston.

Corporate Marketing Manager - OLTP USA. June 1985 - January 1987
Reported to Vice President, High Performance Systems.
Created market requirements and business plan for Digital's entry into OLTP market.
Gained Executive Committee approval for multi million dollar engineering investment.
Recruited eight marketing staff.

IS. Marketing Manager Corporate IS Marketing USA. Nov. 1983 - June 1985
Reported to Vice President IS Marketing.
Managed major market research project to understand the needs of Digital Corporate Accounts for Executive Information Systems.
Defined new sales programs to assist US Sales to sell into the IS department.
Promoted to marketing manager for OLTP.

Group Product Manager Office Systems USA July 1981- October 1983
Reported to Group engineering manager Office Systems.
Responsible for development of Digital's Office Systems product strategy.
Managed product management group of ten, budget of $1m.
Developed and gained approval for a five phase office product strategy.
All-in-1 (phase 1 of the strategy) became Digital's most successful software product ever.
Announced major office products, e.g. first E-Mail product (DECmail), first message switch (Message Router)
and word processing for the PDP11.

International Computers Ltd (ICL). October 1968 - July 1981
Left ICL to take product management position in Digital Equipment Corp. USA.
Achieved sales targets for nine out of ten years on territory for ICL,
Last position was project manager for office strategy, and gaining investment new technology products
Regional manager Transport and Development region, 100 staff, £7m revenue.
Area manager for transportation accounts, six sales staff, 15 support staff.
Account manager - Local Government London accounts.
Graduate trainee/Account manager - Commercial accounts sales and support.
