• Marketing activities cover telemarketing, product, channel and customer marketing (workshops and events), development of local collateral and lead generation

• Organised the high-profile Key-club event for senior Genesys and customer executives at G-force, the annual EMEA conference of Genesys customers and prospects.

Head of Marketing – Sophos UK 2006 - 2007

• The setup and management of a marketing department of 8 people with supporting back office processes, resources and structured cross departmental communications (sales, corporate)
• Development and implementation of annual marketing communications plan (lead generation and PR), channel programme

Marketing Director - Microsoft Business Solutions UK 2002 – 2005
Head of Marketing of Navision UK, the company was acquired by Microsoft in 2002 and merged with the previously acquired Great Plains to form Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS).
• Responsible for development of overall marketing strategy for Microsoft Business Solutions and its product portfolio (Financial Software (ERP), CRM, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Retail solutions)
• Budget responsibility, producing clear, accurate ROI reporting on marketing activities/ expenditure
• Frequently served as stand-in for the MBS business group leader and made responsible for business operations management of MBS (ca. 20 million turnover)


Selected Achievements
• Recognised by Corporate MBS leadership team as ‘Great example of Marketer for Business Solutions’ in June 2005 and previously selected for the FY04 UK TalentXP programme for the top 5% performers in Microsoft UK
• Created the Microsoft Business Solutions UK marketing strategy. Resolved the strategic challenges around the multi product messaging using research and market analysis. Produced and managed implementation of tactical marketing plans. Won support of the management and sales teams for the integrated marketing approach. Tripled the number of high quality leads per month, on time and within budget. Increased PR coverage 600 % and increased unprompted brand awareness from 1% to 8%. Successfully supported an aggressive revenue growth of 20% year on year.
• Drove channel marketing activity and managed channel marketing programmes and sales promotions for Partner (VAR) channel. Pioneered and transformed marketing communications with channel/ partners through innovative use of technology. Created the sales and marketing tools required to recruit new channel partners. Gained trust and motivated channel in times of change. Grew revenue through direct activity and indirectly through marketing development funding (MDF).
• Led marketing teams through a three way merger resulting in one marketing team. Created one integrated, high performance team through coaching and creating individual development plans. Reduced headcount from 12 to 9. Provided clear direction and objectives to the team during a time of change. The team went on to be recognised as outstanding both in the UK and international Microsoft Business Solutions community.

FIRM, a Norwegian start-up, started selling its online survey software ‘confirmit’ in the UK in December ’99.

• Launched company, its product and services in the UK, US and Scandinavia. Developed strategic marketing and business plans linking mission, goals, strategies and tactics to business levels. Created company and product identity, value propositions and materials. Helped set up and manage offices in New York and London. Revenue doubled year on year. Recruited and managed a globally dispersed marketing team.

Initially recruited as the marketing manager for the hardware distribution division of AFP, within a few months promoted to the main division for the output management software. Nearly two years with AFP.
