eStore Nederland BV Februari 2000 – Februari 2002

Co-Founder and Managing Director of a Storage Solution Provider company. Targets the fortune 500 market for innovative high-end data storage infrastrucutres, back-up, data recovery and data archiving solutions. Due to a stagnant market for high end hardware solutions, especially in the main customer group (Telecom providers and ISP’s), the company ceased operations in 2002 due to economical situation within the IT industry.



Exabyte Europe BV January 1990 – November 1999

Exabyte is market leader in high performance cartridge tape units and tape automation systems for the application- (UNIX) and NT server market. Exabyte products are integrated by most established Computer manufacturers, and are sold throughout Europe by a network of Distributors and Resellers.


Director European Sales (Based in The Netherlands)

• Developing and managing assigned territory (Europe, Middle-East and Africa) to ensure maximum productivity, sales/expense ratio and market share.
• Participation in developing overall EMEA and individual territory sales objectives, sales plans and sales strategies.

Granada Computer Services BV April 1984 - Dec. 1989

Granada Computer Services is one of the leading European Third party Maintenance companies, specializing in large account total service management.

• Initially started with DPCE which was acquired by Granada
• Built DPCE/Granada presence from 2 customers in 1984 to over 100 customers in 1989
• Managed an extensive group of sales representatives and sales engineers
• Responsible for overall revenue of Granada Benelux, partly responsible for operating profits.


Storage Technology (StorageTek) Netherlands Jan. 1979 - March 1994

StorageTek is the world largest IBM plug-compatible hardware supplier, specializing in Tape, Disk and Memory subsystems for IBM mainframe computers.

• Started Documation Netherlands BV in 1979. Documation was a supplier of IBM compatible line printers. Grew Documation to a major supplier of IBM compatible line printers in the Dutch market.

• In 1980 Documation was acquired by StorageTek and I became sales/ support manager Storagetek Netherlands


Sales manager StorageTek Netherlands

• Responsible for all sales/support management of StorageTek Netherlands
• Managed a team of 15 Sales and Support engineers
• Helped to establish a presence of StorageTek equipment in over 100 Fortune 500 companies in The Netherlands.
• Reported to the General Manager of StorageTek Netherlands and was part of the management team of StorageTek Netherlands BV


Data 100 Holland BV June 1972 - December 1978

Data 100 was a US manufacturer of Remote Job entry terminals that were used as remote input- output devices for IBM mainframes. Later Data 100 started specialization in Key-to-disk data entry systems. In 1982 Data 100 was acquired by Northern Telecom and subsequently left the hardware business.

• Initially started as the first field engineer, responsible for the installation and field repair of all Data 100 systems.
• Was promoted to field service manager in 1973
• Switched to OEM sales manager in 1974.


OEM Sales Manager Data 100 BV

• Responsible for the sales of Data 100 peripheral products (printers, disk drives, memory products) to OEM’s and system integrators in the Netherlands.
• Reported to the Manager European OEM Sales, located in the UK



Burroughs Netherlands BV June 1968 - May 1972

Burroughs was one of the leading office equipment and mainframe computers systems, specializing in banking and educational markets. Merged with Sperry Univac to become Unisys.

I started as repair engineer for office products, became specialist for new Burroughs electronic office- and ATM equipment in 1970. I was trainer in the Burroughs international training school during 1971 and 1972.
