A.J. van Deudekom B.V. is a logistics- and facility service provider in various disciplines Within A.J. van Deudekom B.V. there are four commercial divisions, Relocations, Transport, Warehousing & Archive Management and Exhibition Logistics and one Operations & Resources Division. All services that are sold by the divisions, are executed by my division. In my current position I’m accountable for the overall management of the implementation of all services and all business support processes other than financial administration. Approximately 75% of the executive staff falls under my responsibility that are spread over four locations Deudekom Duivendrecht, Deudekom RAI Amsterdam, Deudekom Rotterdam, Deudekom MECC Maastricht. The Warehousing & Archive Management Division (Amsterdam & Rotterdam) falls under my supervision as well.

In my role as executive board member I take part in the strategic decision making processes within Deudekom and transfer strategic decisions into tactical level. My responsibilities vary from, Operations, HRM, cost control, efficiency, purchasing management, quality management, recruitment, information- & security management, ICT, financial department planning & reports, evaluations, NCR-procedures, Warehouse Management, handling, customs, reviews, personnel development and internal training, Security Management, SLA’s and KPI’s. In addition I was project manager of the outsourcing of al ICT/server installations

Parallel to my responsibilities I use my broad network for prospecting, and to position our salesmen to close sales on opportunity. In 2008 we reached a balance sheet of €33.2 million ( 2007 €30.1 million) with a net result improvement of €1.3 million.

I was responsible for all matters concerning the participation of Dutch Special Forces within Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. This covered:
