Fairlane is a (executive) search firm with a specialisation in consultancy (strategy, operational excellence, IT,HR transformation etc.). Fairlane works for approximately 60 consultancy firms in the Netherlands, delivering candidates from four years experience to Partner level. We work for clients like Bain & Company, AT Kearney, Accenture, CapGemini, KMPG, PwC but also the small boutiques and for in-house consultancy departments of banks and energy providers.

Managing Consultant

In my current position I am responsible for:

approximately 350-500 k euro revenu;
new business development (opened new clients like Bain & Company, ConQuaestor);
account management;
coaching and developing Junior Consultants.

Responsibilities & tasks:

recruit Business Consultants and Managers;
improve and manage a timely and high quality recruitment & selection process within budgeted plans;
compiling monthly reports covering headcount, starters, leavers etc.
managing reviews, compensation and benefits;
responsible for career development, (international) mobility & education (DCE Academy);
advice Management Team on HR matters and strategy, recruitment and organizational issues;
improve benefits and policies necessary ensuring it¡¦s in line with the policies in the Altran Group and compliance with legal framework (in cooperation with Finance Manager);
liaise with legal counsel to provide legal advice on issues like long term sickness and termination of contracts;
coach, develop and train the international recruiters;

Recruitment & Marketing Manager

Since 2001 I worked for the Altran holding in the Netherlands to build up (from scratch) and develop the recruitment and marketing department for the Dutch Altran subsidiaries (Arthur D. Little, DCE Consultants, Altran Technologies and others).

To prepare my business plan, I worked in Altran¡¦s headquarters in Paris, and lived there for 6 months in order to get acquainted with the subsidiaries, the culture and work on international recruitment projects in Frankfurt, London and Stockholm.

Next to recruitment I was responsible for all marketing activities of the Altran holding (Netherlands).

Responsibilities & tasks:

build up the recruitment department in the Netherlands from scratch;
recruitment of Business Managers and Technology Consultants both national as international (Northern region: UK, Benelux, USA, Sweden, Germany, Austria);
complete recruitment process: searching, intake, sourcing, interviewing and selection, short listing and contract negotiation;
establishing a shared service centre in recruitment/HR for the internal clients (7 Dutch subsidiaries);
(international) mobility and career development;
development of the Altran Academy;
organisation and execution of various marketing and communication activities (advertisements, workshops, master classes, press campaigns, sponsoring, campus presentations etc.);
gathering and interpretation of labour-market data;
implementing a database with professional with + 5 years of working experience (all university level);
leading the assessment centre for candidates (only BD Managers) .

1998 - 2001 BAIN & COMPANY, Amsterdam

Bain & Company was founded in 1973 in the USA and is one of the leading strategy consultant firms in the world. Bain¡¦s business was making companies more valuable. The organisation consisted of 26 offices all over the world with approximately 2.600 employees.
Bain & Company Benelux started in Brussels in 1994 and opened an office in Amsterdam in 1998.


Recruitment Co-ordinator

In the beginning of 1998, I started working for Bain & Company to build up the Recruitment department in the Netherlands from scratch. I was responsible for developing (in line with headquarters and Dutch legal system) all HR matters and recruitment activities.

I worked closely with (and directly report to) the Vice President of Bain in the Netherlands, who was responsible for HR in the Benelux.

Spencer Stuart, established in 1956, is a leading management consulting firm specialised in senior-level executive search and board director appointments. Spencer Stuart international has a network of 50 offices in 24 countries.

Research Consultant

In this position I worked for one of the Partners in the office who was responsible for recruiting ICT candidates at senior management and CEO level. Clients consisted of: Getronics, Siemens, Alcatel, KPN, Gartner etc.
