Work Experience

I Have a 15 years experience in designing, managing and leading implementing large systems development including Vodafone Content services, Vodafone live!, ABN AMRO and Fortis self-service installations, applications and interfaces, System integration for IT systems in Client/Server environments (Unix, Solaris, DOS, Windows, OS/2, Windows NT). Competent in leading and performing qualification and validation of complex information IP, mobile telecom, xmedia and financial systems.

I also have 11 years experience in the gaming industry designing and writing storyboards and system architectures and managing development and design teams.

Experienced with QA and process maturity implementation e.g. (CMM / SPICE).

An extract of my specific work experience follows:

I helped iOpenerMedia enter into the ESA (European Space Agency) young company enterprise and created its successful Proof Of Concept there – helping iOpenerMedia gain the initial ESA financing and then through their initial investment from Triangle GmbH. iOpenerMedia makes s GPS product located in cars (and other moving objects) and provides a run-time data platform aimed specifically at the games industry to allow gamers to race real-time in a game representation of the actual race. Currently I manage test and QA and supports the CTO coaching the development staff in all issues of the product development.

I performed the advisory role for a new content management and production system for NS Travel (Dutch railways organization) including the requirements gathering, executive recommendation, specifications, design and planning. During this same period I implemented web-environments for InterNLnet partners including NOC*NSF.

I was responsible for the system design and implementation teams of the Vodafone Live! Project in Holland; this architecture and software formed the basis of the European wide Vodafone Live! environment. Responsible for the development, architecture and database teams (various team sizes, ranging from 30 to 60 people). Used the CMM model as a backbone to work on the processes of this new company. Set up the UI design studio and requirements processes within VCS. Set-up and was responsible for the Development, Change and release processes within Vodafone Content services. Was responsible for the initial integration with Vodafone including processes and technique (architecture) when Vodafone took over Vizzavi.

I acted as technical consultant for various banking self-service projects including Postkantoor, VSB bank and a migration project for ABN AMRO ATM systems towards Windows NT. Further consultancy work at Olsy France performing migration of La Poste ATM machine and including support for Chip-card functionality. I was responsible for describing and proposing the CMM and/or SPICE implementations for Olivetti organization.
