November 2002 - Free Lance advisor at a medium sized Holding company with subsidiaries which concentrate on specialized building and construction projects.

In this role I advise and hands on support the management of this company on a number of general and financial management issues, which are:

· Advise on further expansion of Holding activities
· Advise on the setting up of joint venture/partnership with a Belgium producer of specialized building materials.
· Financial management, which includes:
§ Review accounts and optimization of management information flow
§ Design and implement Cash flow statements
§ Review and amendment of valuation principles
§ 2002 Year end results according to Dutch GAAP
§ Preparation of 2003 budgets
§ Advise on 2002 and 2003 investments.


Oct 2000 – Oct 2002 Business Services Director, UK Multinational

Responsible for the set up of a Business Services Center, a center which delivers Accounting and Financial Services to 18 countries in Europe.

The project consisted op multiple mini projects, including:
· Change management in the countries
· Implementation of Oracle 11I
· Participation in the design of Global Processes and procedures and subsequent roll out in the countries
· Participation in the review and appointment of one banking partner in Europe


The accounting services included:
· Accounts payables
· Purchasing
· Intra Group
· General Ledger
· Accounts Receivables
· Fixed Assets
· Project Accounting

Reporting directly the Global Business Services Director

Jan 1993 – Oct 2000 Finance and Administration Manager UK Multinational, Deputy to the Managing Director

Responsible for the set up and running of a Business Services Center in Amsterdam from which the Benelux countries were provided with Financial
and accounting services. This center was set up in 7 months, went live on the agreed date and delivered the staff savings as envisaged. More over, this center provided excellent service to its customers until it was incorporated in the European BSC

In addition to running the Benelux BSC, I was responsible for the overall Financial and Administrative function in the BNL countries.

· Logistics and warehousing

· Tax and Legal
· Supporting the Holding structure
· Deputizing for the Managing Director

Responsible for the Finance and Administration department.

Responsibilities included
· Financial Accounting, UK and Dutch GAAP
· Budgeting and forecasting
· Client Administration
· Logistics and warehousing
· MIS
· Tax, legal and statutory accounting

Major achievement in this period was the implementation of a Client Billing System, which eventually became the standard in Europe

Reporting directly to the Business Manager NL and functionally to the Finance and admin Manager BNL

Responsible for the Finance department of above company

Responsibilities included:

· Financial accounting, UK and Dutch GAAP
