Created small contracting business to assist small and mid-sized companies in various capacities. Aim of each project was to build the foundation for a quality system that could be continually improved throughout the business life cycle.

•Client: ISO and Quality Management Company. Jul 2002-Present
Company prepares its clients for ISO certification by improving the client infrastructure, training staff, creating work procedures and performing audit assessments. ISO modules are internationally recognized quality standards for organizations ranging from auto suppliers to manufacturing to labs, etc.

Role: Consultant.
Project objective was to streamline back office operations, assist in building sales and marketing capabilities and implement small business accounting system.

Responsibilities and achievements:
oPopulate client ISO Knowledge Database with multiple reports and presentations used to obtain, train and maintain clients.
oCreated website design, functionality and content.
oDevelop ISO and Quality concepts into sales proposals and marketing literature. Early results from presentations produced multiple customer contracts.
oImplemented small business accounting program as well as a file management and customer contact system.
oOther project responsibilities include process risk analysis, monitoring customer satisfaction results and creation of ISO training materials.

•Client: Electrical Contracting Company. Aug 2002-Oct 2002
American company with over $25m in yearly sales.
Role: Consultant.
Project objective was to create and streamline work procedures for key areas in the Home and satellite offices.

Responsibilities and achievements:
oIdentified, documented, and streamlined company procedures in key areas: sales, purchasing, inventory, HR and contracts. Procedures formed basis for company quality manual.
oPrepared staff for new procedure implementations through training and management coordination. Results aimed at increasing company efficiency and decreasing cost in many areas company-wide.
oAssisted in correcting financial accounts in fixed assets, inventory, leasing, etc.


DELOITTE CONSULTING. Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Senior Operations Consultant. Apr 2001-April 2002

•Client: International Banking Group’s Global Procurement Department. Jun 2001-Nov 2001
Company is active in 45 countries, and had greater than 100,000 employees and assets of 597.7 billion € in 2000.
Role: Country Project Manager.
Project objective was to deliver a robust and traceable contribution to the wholesale banking division cost savings of 25m euros in year one and 50m euros per annum by creating a refreshable, Global Procurement Management System that enabled consolidation and leveraging of global supplier contracts. The six divisions included in this project phase were located in Asia, USA and Europe.

Responsibilities and achievements:
oManaged small DC and client team that created standardized country spend profiles.
oIdentified 10 specific spend areas with potential for cost savings.
oIdentified best practices and benchmarking data useful in supplier negotiations.
oReported results to Head of Global Procurement and the Senior Management in Australia, NYC and Germany.
oDesigned an efficient and practical approach for refreshing the procurement data.
oPrepared training materials for Head Office and local staff.

•Client: Global Financial Institution’s Insurance Division. May 2001
Company is active in 65 countries, and had 100,000 employees and market capitalization 80 billion € in 2000.
Role: Project Leader.
Project objective was to assess the current/future approach and processes of the newly created Insurance Claim’s Shared Service Center, and to present the results in a working discussion with Insurance Claims client specialists and in-house experts. The Shared Service Center was in the process of merging 7 of its sister companies operations into one central operation.

Responsibilities and achievements:
oCoordinated data analysis and research amongst 7 team members.
oComposed presentation on the best practices for online web insurance claims.
oDeveloped and executed workshop for 20 client attendees, and 5 industry experts.

oWorked in teams to launch the Dutch practice’s Quality and Project Management program.


INFORMATION INNOVATION B.V. Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Content Manager, Europe. Oct 1999-Jan 2001
Information Innovation was an international Dutch-based internet start-up company that produced a web-based competitive intelligence tool. The tool enabled high-impact decision makers to create real-time views of significant alliances, emerging technologies and products produced by traditional and emerging market companies in 7 industry sectors. The Content Team’s role was to ensure the database accessed by the web-based tool included high quality and complete content.

Responsibilities and achievements:
oBuilt and managed team of Content Analysts. Expanded department from 3 to 15 analysts over a 1- year period.
oCo-created methodology used in the 2nd/ 3rd release of the internal research tools and customer interface software application.
oDeveloped and implemented Content Department’s business plan including global expansion plans.
oRevamped communication channels between the Content Team, Management and the Technical/Sales teams. Efforts significantly decreased product release time.
oAssessed significance of e-commerce business trends for input into customer tool.
oPlayed an instrumental role in internal HR processes (recruitment, resource planning, training).

Global Risk Management Consultant. Apr 1998-Oct 1999

•Client: Leading American property and casualty insurance company. 1998-1999
Company is a leading American property and casualty insurance company that wrote approximately $4 billion in gross written premiums in 1999 and is also a subsidiary of one of top 5 insurance companies in the world.
Role: Project Leader.
PwC’s main task was to work with client senior management and the client’s Global Audit group to assess and rank high-risk areas in the underwriting, claims and reinsurance lines of business within this client. PwC then led projects through critiquing the operational process and technological infrastructure in the designated line of business, assessing the risks and recommending areas for improvement.

Responsibilities and achievements:
Project: Insurance business review. Client subsidiaries. Apr 1999-Oct 1999; Oct 1998-Jan 1999
oCo-managed team activities which contributed substantially to team’s ability to finish within budget and on time.
oDesigned strategies to streamline software integration and to re-engineer business processes.
oImplemented workflow, communication, and technology solutions, e.g. designed management reports, quality controls, organizational reporting structures, and system validation controls.

oManaged project team that included 5 client and 3 consulting staff.
oIdentified and implemented alternative approaches that addressed the credit, billing and collection functions.
oRecommendations led to department reorganization.

Project: Ocean Marine Department Review. Very specialized insurance. Jul 1998-Oct 1998
oManaged project team which included a Client Manager and 5 Ocean Marine staff in LA and San Francisco.
oLed the final presentation which included 15+ individuals from client management, Client Senior Management and PwC experts.
oRecommendations led to creation of workflow tools which increased the efficiency of policy and claims processing and allowed for proper management monitoring.

Internal Projects: Various PwC internal projects. 1998 and 1999
oCreated solutions and implemented insurance engagement practices/documentation standards, work tools and databases for the PwC Insurance USA headquarters.
oInitiated, wrote and distributed the “Guidelines for Insurance Risk Reviews” for PwC insurance staff.
oDesigned a standardized database and training course that was used by PwC staff in Risk Reviews.
