Work Experience

2014 – 2015 Mondea Houten: Associate Partner. Assisting Newcold in the procurement proces of a mega coldstore in Poland (> 57000 palletplaces; -28C); Core team member Lean implementation DPD Benelux.

2012 – 2014 TNT Fashion Oldenzaal: Sr. Project Manager. Leading the implementation of the planning software OTD from Ortec for the challenging planning department (30FTE). Results are savings of over €1 million/year and much better information about the transport department.


2011 – 2012 Johnson Controls Automotive Assenede: Lead Engineer and Project Manager. In this very lean operation for the automotive industry I worked as Leading Engineer for the engineering team and Project Manager for implementation of a complete new front seat production line. Installation finished spring 2012. Savings approximately 30 FTE (in 3 shifts). Performed
many Lean kaizens in combination with Volvo Cars Gent.

2009 – 2011 Various consulting projects:
• Wilbers Karnaval Helmond: Reengineering logistic processes and project leader of complete reimplementation of Navision. Implemented Lean on the shop floor: mistake rate from 40/month to 1/month. Same staff handles 15% sales increase.
• HIT Trading Almere (QExpertise) Reviewing warehouse operation for WMS implementation in Axapta.
• Transmo Moerdijk: Assisting in merger-process with other container company.

2008 - 2009 DSV Solutions (Automotive) Gent;
Senior Lean Consultant; Manager QSE a.i. The operation delivers on time and in sequence the majority of the parts for the production of Volvo Cars. The order was to support the startup of this complex logistical operation (> 500 FTE). Various tasks like coaching and supporting MT members. Implemented Lean operations and trained board and management in Lean.
Issued several Kaizen process improvements projects. Savings of in total more than 20 FTE.
Also Interim Manager QSE (Quality, Safety, Environment).

2007 - 2009 DSV Solutions Amsterdam:
Interim Site Manager (Frans Maas);Requested was to assist in the 3rd attempt to startup the Panasonic Industrial logistic operation. After a successful implementation I was asked as Interim Site Manager for the entire operation (Panasonic, NEC, Reed-Elsevier) to build up o.a. a new MT. Many improvements on basis of implementing Lean operations throughout the organization. Strong profit improvement realized of more than € 1 million.

2005 – 2007 Various consulting projects:
• Bronx Fashion Waalwijk: Reengineering logistic processes and project leader implementation of WMS (Navision). Problem was that last upgrade lasted 1,5 year to complete. Big fear for this necessary WMS implementation. Job successfully realized with a delay of one week. 20 % Warehouse staff reduced after successful implementation
• Gealux Culemborg: Improve management of the production. Problematic big delay in production and long production lead time of 5 weeks. On basis of Lean from 3 to 1 planning and production lead time of 5 days. Also made layout for new production site. Warehouse space reduced by 50%
• ; Transmo Moerdijk Improving internal organization. In cooperation with the MD reorganized functioning of the MT. On basis of Lean optimized the operation which resulted in halving the lead time and doubling production capacity. Savings of approximately € 500.000,--
• Bakery Alting Gorinchem: General support of the management of this industrial bakery. Internal organization and financial planning improved

2005 - 2005 ANWB Wegenwacht - Breda
Region Manager Southwest a.i. Due to illnes replacing the regional manager of the roadside assistance department of the Dutch Automobile Club. Responsible for the quality of the assistance..

2002 - 2005 AMERONGEN KAMPHUIS TRANSPORT AND FORWARDING – Barneveld
Manager Organization and Planning. As member of the board of this transport company responsible for the optimization of the work processes and automation. Co-developer and implementer of international route planning system (Shortrec by Ortec). After merger with van Amerongen Transport integrate software and route planning of both companies. Planning department reduced with 50 % is 5 FTE savings

2001 - 2001 MOTORAMA B.V. - Rotterdam
Managing Director. Responsible for the general management of a big motorcycle clothing company. Wish of the owners was to transform the company from product oriented to market oriented.
Liberation of our sales organisation in Germany, France and UK.
On the purchasing side added new product to our collection and expanded the distribution rights for one important product.



2000 - 2000 MASCOM MARINE B.V. – Spijkenisse
Director – CEO. During illness of my co-shareholder, replaced him as the CEO of our company in Maritime Electronics.

1998 - 2000 WIZARDS OF THE COAST - Antwerp (B)
Director of International Supply Chain. Responsible for production and logistics in Europe. Because of very strong growth, caused by Pokémon (sales from $ 40 mio to $ 400 mio for Europe), re-engineering all logistics processes. Improve the control of the supply chain. Active participating in planning and QC-activities at the main European production plan (Carta Mundi). Assisted in start-up of UK based new production facility. As from April 2000 as a consultant assisting in Logistic and Production processes.

1997 - 1998 WIZARDS OF THE COAST - Turnhout (B)
Supply Chain Manager Europe. For a major player in the gaming, responsible for the evaluation and reorganization of the European logistics. After selection, a successful transition to a new Physical Distributor and new transport companies.). Reduced transport and warehousing costs with 25%.
1995 -1997 RADIO HOLLAND MARINE BV - Rotterdam
Operations Manager. As member of the General Management responsible for purchasing, order processing and distribution of maritime electronics; 31.000 articles, 5000 customers. Implementation of complete new IT (Baan); re-engineering of the operations department; reorganization of transports.
Resulting in a strong reduction (€ 0,5 million) of operational costs.

1993 - 1995 RUCANOR EUROPE BV - Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel
International Supply Chain Manager.
Responsible for the distribution of sports articles (sports basics, fashion, shoes) all over Europe. Sales over Dfl 100 million, 15.000 articles and 10.000 customers; 35 - 80 co-workers; 3 warehouses (25.000 m2)
Centralized European distribution with new IT, new transport companies and a new transport philosophy (direct parcel shipments for total Europe).
Transport costs reduced from € 3 million to € 2,2 million
