1999-present JT International. (Worldwide 2nd largest cigarette company, Global profit approx. 750 Mio $)

July 2002-present Director HR Manufacturing Region Europe & Germany GMBH;

Responsibilities:
- Global Supply Chain Europe, German marketing & sales, R&D, 2250 employees.
- Member German Executive Committee and the European regional
Management team.
- Union for the German cigarette industry; representative on behalf of JTI.

Main accomplishments:
· Developed and implemented from scratch a combined online selection, assessment, 360 degree and development tool, this tool is chosen as model for the Global talent assessment program to identify International Talent.
· Coordinated restructuring German market from 280 to 80 employees thereby supporting the market turnaround from losing 3 Mio $ to earning 26 million € after three years.
· Headed tariff negations for JTI in the cigarette industry employers association
· Drove the change management program for Germany to support implementation of SAP.
· Currently redesigning company pension to reduce the company cost by 50% and reduce liability.
· Restructured HR department; From business supporters to business partners. Coaches singular managers and directors.

Additional roles:
- Teaches at Technical University for applied science and the University Trier on leadership and development.
- Board member of the advisory board Trier Employers association.

2001- July 2002 Director HR Manufacturing Europe JT International in Trier Germany

Responsibilities: approx. 1900 employees in the factories in Poland, Romania,
Andorra, Germany, Switzerland and the Czech republic.

Main accomplishments:
· Drove HR´s speed to the business; reformed the department from administrators to business supporters.
· Coordinated the new Regional HR Structure to support the factories; Coordinated closing Polish factory.
· Gained trust by giving trust and showing integrity towards the four German works Councils.
· JTI employer representative as Vice Chairman of the European Works Council.

1999-2001 HR Director JTI Benelux / RJ Reynolds (until July 2000)

Responsibilities: 125 employees for the market organization in Belgium Netherlands and Luxembourg

Main accomplishments:
· Hired as HR coordinator International employees, promoted to HR Director BENELUX within 6 months.
· Innovated the HR systems based on long-term HR strategy; employer of choice (EOC)
· Designed and drove the EOC to attract and retain talent and reduce employee turnover by 50% without cost impact.
· Designed and implemented cafeteria system for secondary labor conditions, flexible
· use of working time; work time-saving; child daycare compensation etc.


1998-1999 Global trainer and HR Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Responsibilities: Started as HR consultant recruitment and selection, moved within year to Global trainers pool.
Main accomplishments:
- Selected as participant for Global trainers team. Performer Global Induction course; train the trainer for accountants; presentation skills; designed time management course.
- Performed both in Europe and USA.
- Active as consultant in area of recruitment, Selection and Assessments/testing.

1991-1998 Career officer in the Royal Dutch Army

1996-1998 Head of bureau for leadership, business ethics and teambuilding for the army. Ranking Major

- Pre-promoted 6 years to become the youngest Major in the army.
- Professionalized training methods. Energetically led teambuilding sessions for middle and higher management level.
- Intensive facilitating training and practice as trainer.
- Chairman works council.
- Multiple leadership publications including leadership development book. Sold over 2500 pieces.

1991-1996 Variety of operational leadership positions as career officer
in a draft-army environment. Line manager for up to 150 persons.

Main accomplishments
- Completing university study (MA) within 2 years, next to excellent performance in a full time job.
- Developed, practiced and implemented an Assessment Center and management coaching tool for the Army’s top-talent.
