Managed a team of 4 people who were responsible for testing the software, writing user manuals and procedures and training of the users. Responsible for go-live planning from business point of view (technical implementation was done by CAP Gemini consultants).
Re-enginering of business processes to come to a more cost effective organization. Introduction of forecasting and replenishment process.

Warehouse/Project Manager

Manager of a 45,000m2 large distribution center which feeds the Benelux. Managed 45 people. During this period responsible for the following projects:

- Responsible for the set up of Warehouse Management System in 3 sites (Holland: Alphen, Belgium: Lembeek and Luxembourg: Hamm) within the implementation of JDEdwards 7.3 in the Benelux: setup of the WMS, writing test scripts, testing, training the users. Managed 1 programmer to develop a new interface with the forwarders.
- Reorganization of the logistics within the Benelux. Responsible for the following projects:
- Extension of the Alphen Distribution Center from 12,000m2 to 45,000m2: setup of the new warehouse organization, designed new warehouse lay-out.
- Removal of the stocks of Holland from Utrecht to Alphen, removal of the stocks of Belgium from Lembeek (B) to Alphen (NL).
- Selection of new forwarders for Belgium and Holland and getting them operational (specification of interfaces).
- Implementation of Warehouse Management System in Alphen warehouse:
- Developed and maintained the Project Planning.
- Setup and testing of the system.
- Managed 2 programmers to develop the interfaces with the SOP system and the forwarders.
- Training of the users.
- Support.
- Carried out an invitation to tender regarding the outsourcing of the warehouse together with the distribution:
- Created tender document including all necessary statistics.
- Analyzed and negotiated the various offers.
- Responsible for the annual stock take, managing a team of 80 people.
- Development of a Management Information System for the logistic dept, using AS/400 query and MS Access.

Production Co-ordinator

Responsible for the production of the physical products. Purchasing materials, printing manuals, duplicating disks/CD's, assembly into the final product.
Production was originally based in the Atlanta (US) subsidiary. Managed shifting the production to Holland: closing down production facility in Atlanta and setup production in Holland (outsourcing).
